How To Set A Table

To set a table at home seems quite easy, how about you try setting a table at a restaurant.  Still think that you could do it easily well try doing it in these steps.  First of all you need the right items.  Things you might need are a knife, a fork, soup spoon, a dessert fork, a dessert spoon, a glass for water, a napkin, a place mat and of course a table now you are ready to get started.  First you grab you place mat and put where you will be going to put the plate.  Then fold up your napkin nicely and place it in the middle of the place mat.  Then get out you utensils.  Grab you dessert spoon and place it to the right of your place mat.  Now Grab you dessert fork and place it on the left, remember that your dessert fork is smaller than your fork for your main meal.  Get your main fork and put it to the left of your place mat and dessert fork.  Pick up you knife for the main meal and place it to the right of your dessert spoon and your place mat, make sure that when you place the knife that you have the blade of the knife pointing in.  Now for your soup spoon where you will put this will determine where the drink goes, remember that your soup spoon is round at the top, so place your soup spoon to the right of you knife and dessert spoon.  Now where to put the glass.  Most people would just place the cup in any random place but at a restaurant there is a certain place for the glass.  Grab the glass and place it in line and above the soup spoon and there you have it a wonderfully set table.

My Hero Story~Sir Ray Avery

From living in the streets of England to inventing something so amazing that it can save 500 babies.  Well if you hadn’t guessed yet I am going to tell you the story of Sir Ray Avery.  For those of you who is reading this. Sir Ray Avery is the creator of the life pod.  A life pod is an incubator for premature babies in third world countries where the premature babies can’t stand condition of that country.  Now back to talking about Sir Ray Avery.

Sir Ray Avery was born in the year 1947 in Kent, England.  Through his childhood he had become an orphan.  At one point he was even living under a bridge all by himself.  He used to go into library in the desperate need of warmth.  At just the age of 14 he got into his love of science.  He was later educated at Wye College, a tertiary agricultural college in Kent.  He settled in New Zealand in 1973 and nine months later became a New Zealand citizen.  After graduating, Avery worked as an analyst in laboratories, in which he eventually took a shareholding. After leaving Britain and settling in New Zealand, he was a founding member of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Auckland School of Medicine. He was then the technical director of Douglas Pharmaceuticals, where he designed drug manufacturing facilities for nine years until 1992.

With already 194 life pods up and running that is already proving that Sir Ray Avery is a change maker.  He has even worked with the Fred Hollows foundation helping people be able to see and live a normal life.  I think that he is one of the most amazing people in the world to have gone from living under a bridge to creating something that can save 500 babies wow.  I just can’t think why anyone would not consider him a change maker.  Sir Ray Avery has won the New Zealander of the year award I mean no one else would really be worthy enough to get that award or even be nominated.  If you yeah you reading this if you don’t think that Sir Ray Avery is a change maker you must be either insane or really crazy.

Sir Ray Avery has done and been through amazing things in his life.  He has also help lots and lots of people to get where they are now.  So that is why I think that Sir Ray Avery is an amazing change maker.

Camp Poem

Camp Poem

I was lightening fast down the water slide
My tent was like a house with a room of my own
My sleeping bag was as warm as my bed at home
On the flying fox I was as fast as the wind

The night we slept in the hall was the best night of all
